The 2018 Spring/Summer Calendar Launch is taking place Monday, June 4th at Centaur Theatre. This free event is for all theatre goers who want to get a taste for the season to come in English Langauge theatre in Montreal. Who says theatre quiets down for the summer? Not QDF! We know there is so much great English theatre happening during the sunniest season of the year. The evening features short performances of excerpts from upcoming shows and live interviews with industry professionals and community leaders. Doors open at 5:30 PM and the performances begin at 6:00. This edition is a great way to get to know our 2018 St Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival Members. Grab a snack, purchase a beverage and settle in for a raucous evening that will provide a little taste of what’s in store this summer.

Hosted by Dakota Jamal, winter of the Outstanding Emerging Artist Award at last year’s METAS, and Natali Liconti. Her show, A Dyke’s Guide to Fair Play will be showing at the St Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival this year. Among the productions hitting the stage this season is Sermo Scomber Theatre’s Don’t Read the Comments, Sarah Segal-Lazar’s latest FRINGE offering. QDF’s own Caleigh Crow and Pope Joan makes their Montreal FRINGE debut with Betch-A-Sketch, the sketch comedy show you just can’t shake. Catch Canis Tempus and John Abbott College Theatre Department present Find Me, a highly theatrical and provocative play about mental illness and womanhood. For musical theatre lovers, we’ve got you covered! With songs from WISTA’s The Addams Family, Acts to Grind Theatre’s SAUNA: The Musical, and West Enders’ Love Potion, there will be plenty of tunes to get your toe tapping. Join us and see what our community has in store for Montreal this summer!
