The Quebec Drama Federation is proud to announce and welcome Mr. Patrick Lloyd Brennan as the organization’s new Managing Director.
“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick into the continued growth of QDF,” states Amy Blackmore, President of QDF. “We look forward to supporting Patrick’s dynamism and talent from which he will foster the organization’s history while creating and implementing new initiatives that support the diverse artistic landscape of English Quebec and the hundreds of artists that thrive in it.”
Patrick comes to the QDF team with several years of experience as Senior Associate, Sales and Cultural Affairs at Montréal’s Segal Centre for Performing Arts. His insight on the pulse of the arts ecology has engaged him in many cultural policy developments from municipal to international platforms. Mr.
Brennan has established relationships and cultivated connections with arts professionals across the country to encourage dialogue within Montréal and Québec on ways to promote bridges between communities. An active artist with over ten years of experience, his work has a wide scope from performance to choreography and from research to artistic direction.
“As a longtime advocate of the English-theatre community, I am incredibly honoured to be stepping into this role and privileged to represent, and serve, QDF’s vibrant membership,” states Mr. Brennan. “Through enriched programs and services that will further propel the organization, we will work towards
building an even stronger positioning within the local, provincial, and national performing arts landscape – I simply cannot wait to get started!”
Ms. Blackmore continues, “Our board of directors is excited to welcome Patrick and his vision to the team in this meaningful time of evolution of theatre arts.”
The Quebec Drama Federation is also pleased to announce Holly Greco as our new Program Coordinator.
She says, “Joining the Quebec Drama Federation team feels like coming home. As an independent artist and producer, wading through the Montreal English Theatre scene, I have continually relied on the extensive services of this iconic organization. It is with great honour and excitement that I enter this new chapter in QDF history, with anticipation of the impact we can continue to make in this thriving artistic community.”
Welcome to both of our new staff members! We are all looking forward to working together to serve our members and the greater Montreal English Theatre Community.
