QDF is so excited for the Grad Showcase, an opportunity for graduating students in the acting and design streams of recognized theatre institutions to showcase their growth, learning and talent.

Participants will have the opportunity to audition or present to our panel of both independent and company affiliated directors, artistic directors and producers, giving them an opportunity to be seen for potential hiring opportunities ahead of graduation.

*Please note that students graduating from recognized francophone institutions that would like to work in English are also welcome to register!

  • AUDITION

For your audition, you will present two offerings:

    • A 2 minute monologue of your choosing

    • A secondary artistic offering that is up to 2 minutes long. (This can be a contrasting monologue, a song [an accompanist will be present], a movement piece, dance, clown, etc. It’s up to you!).

Following your audition, our panel of directors will ask you a few questions to get to know you better as an artist.

Examples of frequently posed Qs are:

    • What kind of theatre are your interested in doing post graduation?

    • What is a past role/production you really enjoyed?
